THAAD速度的问题,确实是2.6左右的文献居多.
GBI拦白杨M的例子也是很"勉强",属于"边缘".
现在就是有估计SM-3 IIB也无法达到6KM/S, 而且就算达到了也只能拦截对付针对东北海岸的ICBM,保护范围很小,而且只要ICBM一采取高弹道拦截就很勉强.从某种意义上说,部署在美国本土的SM-3IIB对俄罗斯ICBM的威胁更大,所以,部署在欧洲其实是符合俄罗斯利益的.
NGAM很可能会是取MKV计划里的单KKV.

抛开部署数量、试验成功率这些因素,GBI就纯粹“技术能力”而言并不“勉强”,而是有“足够”能力拦截从毛子西部射向美国东部的ICBM。这一点俄、美、中的专家都是认同的。
美帝现在虽然重点转向SM-3 Block IIB,但并没有放弃两级GBI的研发,而是作为备胎,万一到时IIB延误过久派不上用场,可能又会跑到前台。两级GBI后面还有几次拦截试验的。

SM-3 Block IIB的另一个名称NGAM(下一代宙斯盾导弹)其实更贴切。美帝把它定位为“本土双层导弹防御系统的第一层”。
NGAM已不是雷神公司的专属品了,波音、诺格、洛马都已参与竞标。
推进剂、轻质结构材料都与前面的SM-3不同,甚至弹体直径都突破现有MK-41发射筒21“的限制。

Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System Engages Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile for the First Time

KAUAI, Hawaii, April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin's (NYSE: LMT) Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system successfully tracked and engaged an intermediate range ballistic missile using data from a remote AN/TPY-2 radar during a test off the coast of Hawaii.

This marked the Aegis BMD system's first engagement against an intermediate range ballistic missile, as well as the first time the system used a launch-on-remote capability, which allows the Aegis BMD system to employ remote sensors to detect threats as early in flight as possible.

The Aegis BMD system fired a Standard Missile using real-time information from a remote sensor prior to the shipboard SPY-1 radar acquiring the inbound ballistic missile.  

"The Lockheed Martin-led team has evolved Aegis from an anti-ship missile system to the basis for the U.S. approach to global missile defense," said Lisa Callahan, vice president of maritime ballistic missile defense programs. "With this test, Aegis BMD proves that it can expand the battlespace and destroy ballistic missile threats earlier in their trajectory than ever before."

The USS O'KANE (DDG-77) employed the first generation Aegis BMD configuration to complete this exercise conducted by the Missile Defense Agency, the U.S. Navy and Lockheed Martin.  This configuration, which added the capability for ships to defend themselves from short range ballistic missiles in the terminal phase of flight, was certified for operations by the Navy in March 2008.

There are 25 Aegis BMD-equipped ships currently deployed – 21 U.S. Navy ships and four Japanese destroyers.  Three additional ships are planned to become BMD-capable this year.

Raytheon Completes SM-3 Test Flight Against Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile

Test is critical part of Phased Adaptive Approach phase I certification

PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY, KAUAI, Hawaii, April 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) completed the first flight test of a Standard Missile-3 Block IA against an intermediate range ballistic missile (IRBM). The test also demonstrated the SM-3 Block IA's ability to engage a ballistic missile target when launched on remote.

"This test certifies phase I of the Phased Adaptive Approach," said Frank Wyatt, vice president of Raytheon's Air and Missile Defense Systems product line. "Executing the launch-on-remote engagement demonstrates both the increased capability of Raytheon's SM-3 Block IA and the U.S. Navy's forward-deployed Aegis ships."

The IRBM target was launched from Kwajalein Atoll. As it rose above the horizon, the target was acquired and tracked by a forward-based Raytheon AN/TPY-2 X-band radar located on Wake Island.  

The target information was relayed through the command, control, battle management and communications system to an Aegis ship. The Aegis Weapon System computed a firing solution, forwarded this information to the SM-3 Block IA and initiated the launch sequence. By leveraging off-board sensors, the SM-3 Block IA engaged the IRBM.  

"This was the 19th successful intercept for Raytheon's SM-3, and it clearly demonstrates the missile's increased capability," said Wyatt. "We've taken a proven missile and made it even more capable through sensor netting."

Raytheon  is developing SM-3 as part of the Missile Defense Agency's Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System, and more than 130 SM-3s have been delivered to date. The missiles are deployed with both the U.S. and Japanese navies to defend against short- to intermediate-range ballistic missile threats in the ascent and midcourse phases of flight.

美国国防部15日说,军方迄今“最具挑战性”的一项弹道导弹防御系统测试成功。

国防部下属导弹防御局当天发表声明,美军在夏威夷州西南3700公里的马绍尔群岛向东北方向发射一枚中程弹道导弹,导弹防御系统随后在夏威夷以西的太平洋上空成功拦截。

声明说,初步数据显示,所有零部件均按设计运转。“两枚2009年发射的太空跟踪监视卫星成功定位目标导弹,(为防御系统)提供目标从发射到拦截的立体运行轨迹。”

路透社报道,目标导弹由美国军火商洛克希德·马丁公司研制的“宙斯盾”导弹防御系统拦截。这一系统是美国上世纪80年代起装备的舰载防空反导作战系统。

军方说,这是“宙斯盾”体系首次借助远距离雷达站搜集到的导弹轨迹数据实施拦截,是迄今“最具挑战性”的一项测试。(编注:试验意味着STSS系统已可能接入海军的宙斯盾系统,可为标准-3拦截弹提供目标数据,拓展其因陆/海基AN/SPY-1雷达探测距离有限而造成的射程限制。)

TEWKSBURY, Mass., April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) JLENS (Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System) has successfully demonstrated tracking targets of opportunity in the Salt Lake City air space. Testing and integration of the system is being conducted at the Utah Test and Training Range.


This successful test follows a number of program milestones, including the first full-power transmit from the fire control radar. During previous testing at the Raytheon facility in Pelham, N.H., the radar successfully tracked targets of opportunity and ran planned flight tests for position verification.

JLENS is the first aerostat platform featuring long-duration, wide-area, over-the-horizon detection and tracking of low-altitude cruise missiles and other threats. Additionally, its capabilities provide the battlefield commander with enhanced situational awareness and elevated communications, enabling sufficient warning to engage air defense systems and defeat threats.

"The JLENS team continues to meet significant program milestones, executing an aggressive test and training schedule," said Ken Gordon, program director, Raytheon's JLENS program. "The ongoing testing in Utah affirms our confidence in the system's technical maturity."

The fire control radar is one of two advanced, elevated sensor systems deployed on JLENS. The fire control radar performs wide area surveillance and precision tracking across the battlespace. Work on the JLENS program is performed at Raytheon sites located in Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire, Texas and Maryland. Raytheon IDS develops the fire control radar and processing station. 基于远端传感器火控数据发射拦截弹的试验原来规划在2005年进行。
2008年2月份SM-3打卫星其实才是第一次运用“基于远端传感器火控数据发射拦截弹”(Launch on Remote,LoR),只是那次的远端传感器是SBX,本次是AN/TPY-2。
本次SBX、STSS参加试验,应该是off-line性质的,C2BMC并不对他们的跟踪数据进行融合,主要供任务后评估和分析用。

推测:
LV-2靶弹落区距发射场3600~4000km,拦截点距发射场3300km左右,拦截高度200~250km,拦截斜距350~380km。
