WGS-9 spacecraft separation
With the remaining Delta IV second stage and WGS-9 spacecraft flying over the Indian ocean east of Madagascar the spacecraft has separated from the D4SS and is now flying on orbit under its own power. This completes the mission for the US Air Force today.
In about 30 minutes the second stage will ignite for a final time performing a de-orbit burn. This will then splash down in the Pacific Ocean just over 12 hours after liftoff.
