Luxembourg-based SES is ready to consider ordering all-electric-propulsion satellites for its future fleet requirements, a development that likely would have an effect on the kind of launch vehicles it buys, SES Chief Executive Romain Bausch said.

“We see the market splitting into two groups of satellites — one between 3,000 and 3,500 kilograms, the other at 6,000 to 6,500 kilograms,” Bausch said in remarks to journalists March 12 that were supplemented March 28 in response to Space News inquiries.

  [据美国航天新闻网站2012年3月30日报道] 世界第二大商业卫星运营商SES卫星公司向欧空局(ESA)建议,未来商业发射市场更需要模块化设计,以及有能力每次将单颗不同质量的电信卫星送入轨道的新一代运载火箭。

  SES首席执行官罗曼·鲍施( Romain Bausch )称该公司已经准备考虑订购全电推进卫星,以满足未来需求。这将会影响到其购买的运载器的类型。鲍施说:“我们发现卫星市场分成了两类,一类卫星质量在3000~3500千克之间,另一类卫星质量在6000~6500千克之间。”

Astrium Awarded Two Satellite Contracts By The Russian Operator RSCC
AM4R:63个转发器(30 C波段,Ku波段28个,2个Ka波段,L波段3)轨位80°E
AM7:62个转发器(24 C波段,36个Ku波段,2个L波段)轨位40°E
(27 March 2012) Astrium, Europe’s number one space company, has been awarded two contracts from the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) for the delivery of two telecommunication satellites Express AM4R and Express AM7.

Astrium will build the satellites based on the Eurostar E3000 platform and a Khrunichev-built Proton launcher will deliver them to orbit in 2014.

Express AM4R is a copy of Express AM4, a high power communications satellite which was lost following a launch failure in August 2011. Express AM4R will be the most powerful Russian telecommunication satellite with a 63 active transponders communications payload (30 in C-band, 28 in Ku-band, 2 in Ka-band, 3 in L-band). Express AM4R will be positioned at 80°E on the geostationary orbit.

Express AM7 is a new satellite with similar design and a payload adapted to a mission at 40°E to extend RSCC capacity at that position. Express AM7 will have a 62 active transponders communications payload (24 in C-band, 36 in Ku-band, 2 in L-band).

Both satellites will provide high performance coverage over the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States countries and adjoining regions. They will be equipped with steerable antennas which can provide communication to any point on Earth within the satellite’s visibility.

The two Eurostar E3000 satellites have nearly identical configurations, with electrical power of 16 kW and launch mass of 5,700 kg. They are designed for 15-year service life in orbit.

Bangabandhu Satellite For The Peoples Republic Of Bangladesh(30 March 2012) Space Partnership International (SPI) announces the official signing of an exclusive contract to provide consultancy services to the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) for the launching of the country's first communications satellite - Bangabandhu.

The contract, which was signed in Dhaka by Major General Zia Ahmed, psc (retd.) Chairman of the BTRC and Bruce D. Kraselsky, a Managing Director of SPI, is a critical step in the national objective to launch the Bangabandhu satellite system.

Signing of the three year, multi-discipline contract illustrates SPI's broad range of capabilities to assist governments and commercial entities in the development and implementation of complex satellite businesses. SPI has been involved in various aspects of satellite construction and launch as well as business development for over 80 programs internationally. Its team of experts, including its long-term strategic partner RKF Engineering, have led the design and construction oversight of numerous complex satellite space stations, ground equipment networks and user terminals.

SPI's Managing Director, Bruce Kraselsky stated: "We are honored to have been selected from an impressive international field of qualified organizations to assist Bangladesh in the development of the Bangahandu satellite system which will complement its terrestrial telecommunications infrastructure as well as expand its telecommunications capabilities throughout the region and fill the gap in the Digital Divide."

业界人士称以色列的Spacecom有意选择SS/Loral作为Amos-6的承包商,但以色列政府可能会通过补贴来确保本国的IAI中标。如果SS/Loral中标,则Amos-6将由Falcon 9于2015年发射。

This is the first commercial contract for SpaceX's Falcon Heavy launch vehicle.  Under the agreement, an Intelsat satellite will be launched into geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO).

以色列IAI公司(Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. )获得Spacecom的AMOS-6合同,价值2亿美元。AMOS-6将于2015年发射,携带约80个Ku-和Ka-转发器,定点于4°W。

Hispasat授予OSCAmazonas 4A和4B合同,其中4B基于OSC新推出的高功率平台,两者的发射时间分别是2014和2015年,均定位于61°W
